Steven Jones-Robertson was born in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, in 1985.

He is a writer, producer and designer. He graduated from Leeds Beckett University in 2012 with First Class Honours in Multimedia Technology. Alongside his filmmaking work, he is a designer at the BBC, specialising in streaming and audience experience.

During his studies, along with creative partners Abraham Fieldsend and Zachary Fieldsend, he co-founded Wayside Productions, which evolved into what is now known as Wayside Trinity.
