A Fate Worse Than Death explores the struggle of a grieving couple following the loss of their child, and the terror they encounter as an evil entity latches onto their pain.

We need you.
Over the last 18 months we have spent our evenings and weekends filming A Fate Worse Than Death - an entirely self funded no-to-low budget horror feature film, shot in Harrogate, N-Yorks. Scheduling difficulties, relying on favours, last minute cancellations, weather changes - we’ve faced every adversity that has come at us and have now finally completed filming.
As we move into post-production, it’s make or break time. Having put so much of ourselves into this project we have an obligation to ourselves and to the film industry to deliver the best possible final product to audiences locally, nationally and, hopefully, globally.
As a team who have always supported the growth and creativity of our hometown, we wanted to share this exciting project with you - a project that could bring the community into the spotlight.
With your contribution, we are a step closer to having industry level sound design and VFX touch-ups, a local premier at the Harrogate Everyman where regional and national press can attend - maybe even some bigger stars with roots in Yorkshire, too - and we can give the film, and Harrogate, the strongest springboard to be a commercial success. With your contribution, we are hoping to put Harrogate more firmly “on the map”.

We are seeking partners who believe in supporting local arts and want to leave a lasting legacy in our community. While it is not a traditional investment opportunity, your support would directly contribute to bringing this story to life and celebrating our town on a larger stage.
In driving our own success we also wish to see the success of the local area, people & businesses. If we can push this project far enough, which we believe is a likelihood rather than a possibility, given the quality and creativity we put into our work, then we can bring our cherished hometown and its people with us.
So far the film has utilised Yorkshire based cast, crew and locations as part of our endeavour to support local talent & people - something that we will continue should we “make it”. We can only achieve all of this with your help.
